Understand Alice's sources and limitations

Know which information an answer can use and how to verify it.

General guidance

Alice can search shared knowledge, including these help articles. Documentation citations link to the relevant help page when recognized. Other sources may appear as filenames without a download link.

Your organization's documents

Alice can search compatible documents in your organization's Documents library. These include documents from completed setup, documents added through Fill in details with Alice, documents added through Enter details, and published risk assessment PDFs. Compatible setup documents can also become available while setup analysis is running.

Alice searches the compatible current Approved file version. Plus can save formats that Alice's file search cannot use; those files remain in Documents but are not searchable by Alice. New uploads, version changes, and generated reports may take time to appear in Alice. If an answer seems out of date, check the current version and allow processing to finish before asking again. Documents in the tenant store are available to all authorized Alice users in your organization. See manage documents and risk assessments.

Earlier conversation answers remain historical even when document access changes. Ask Alice to check the available evidence again when you need an updated answer.

Current controls and risks

Alice can request read-only lookups of supported Controls and Risks in your current organization. Ask for a fresh lookup when you need current facts. Earlier conversation answers remain historical and do not update when records change.

Check important answers

Open the cited help page or review the underlying document or record. A citation identifies a source, not a guarantee that the interpretation is correct. If evidence is missing, ask what information is available and confirm details with the appropriate person.

Alice does not grant permissions, certify compliance, or replace your organization's review and approval process. Do not send passwords or sign-in codes. See using Alice for conversation basics.
